School Shootings

This fabric piece was done in reaction to the many school shootings here in the US. The large black scribble is  marking up the Red White and Blue. Below that is a list of major mass shootings pinned to the top. Pins were used so other shootings can be added later because they will happen if gun laws are not changed. When will our legislators stop listening to wealthy lobbyists and make gun laws that are sensible?
A Dutch satirical TV show had a good name for the NRA( Nonsensical Rifle Addition ).

Gun Culture

My fabric wall hanging was done to accentuate the large number of gun deaths in the US each year. What can we do to lesson this unacceptable figure?

Our freedom to have guns is secondary to the freedom of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. These wall fabric art pieces were done in reaction to the shooting in 2011 of Gabby Giffords  in Tucson AZ when 6 people died.

Angels Are Crying

There are so many issues to question in relation to the wisdom of the lax gun control laws here in the US. If enough people complain maybe we can change the situation. This fabric piece was juried into a quilt art show at the AZ Chandler Center for the Arts- Nov., 2017 thru Jan., 2018.
